The SOEs Network on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises (the African SOEs Network) is a platform for government representatives, State-Owned Enterprises, related agencies and other relevant non-governmental stakeholders from African member states to facilitate policy dialogue on SOEs ownership and corporate governance practices, to share and exchange experiences, identify good practices and develop recommendations for effective reforms to improve and strengthen corporate governance of SOEs in Africa. The objective of the platform is to strengthen the capacity of SOEs and to ensure that the SOEs play a crucial role in African economies. The value of the African Network is in the peer learning and peer exchanges.
Members of the SOEs Network are African Member States through relevant government departments and regulatory bodies and SOEs.
Sustainable State Owned Enterprises in Africa that observe sound corporate governance standards and practices and fulfil their public policy purposes.
The Network promote adherence to the values, ideals, standards and practices of good corporate governance in the management of state-owned enterprises throughout the Continent.
